How can I find a solution when my situation is unbearable?

Question: Recently, I lost many things dear to me. AND I have to find a new place to live in 3 months! Need a job AND a place to live! HOW do I find the answers? I feel like my life is over ….

Answer:

Dear…

The very fact that you keep asking, searching for a solution showed that you’re about to find it!But whether you'll find good or not so good solutions depends on your state of mind.

Many Teachers, including Osho and Eckhart Tolle, emphasized that our action doesn’t mean anything. Our state of consciousness from which thoughts and actions arise determines our next experience. When we are calm and alert, we will have an intuitive sense of the right thing to do.

We need both the stability of consciousness as a foundation and actions. Taking action when we are in a state of confusion will make us more confused and bring more suffering. On the other hand, having a clear mind without taking action doesn’t help change our situation, though it’s still much better than the former.

Here is what I often do to find an answer and it helps. Use what you think is helpful.

- Sit down, place attention on my breath; feel a kind of caring energy embraces my difficult feeling, like a Mother embraces her child (Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh suggested this practice). I often feel much better just after a few minutes. If I have time, I’ll do sitting or walking meditation for 20 or 30 minutes. (Sometimes I went for a long walk, about 2-3 hour in nature, and an amazing answer just popped up.)

- I then remind myself that I still have something I really appreciate or love dearly. This switches my energy rapidly.

- Then state what I most need or want clearly. Always ask for the best first and ask for one thing at a time. For example, I want to have a job that gives me this (specific) amount of money monthly, aligns with my value, and helps my ability grow.

- I then ask some questions to find the job, such as :

“what/where should I search for?”

 “who should I contact?” etc.,

My experience is that just keep searching. The answer will definitely come to you. If we can remain calm and trust, we can find better answers. But if we hold on to some thoughts such as “I don’t think I can”, “my life is over”, we will get stuck, not in finding the answers, but in our own mind. The reality is infinite. Many, many ways we won’t think of if we stop looking.

Dr. David Hawkins mentioned that our intention is extremely powerful. It calls out opportunities from heaven. Intention activates the means you need. Deepak Chopra said, our intention brings its own fulfillment and is the real law of attraction.

One day I had a big “aha” that thinking “I don’t have” is the source of all doubt, fear, insecurity, and complexity. But through experiments, I found out that “I can have it”, just by asking and listening to the knowingness within. This is the source of our richness! What a relief! My confidence grows everyday and I feel full of love for life. This trust, this confidence is what nobody can give us and nobody can take it away.

According to Mooji, what we take ourselves to be affects everything. If we’re identified with a victim’s “voice”, it will make us suffer and limit our ability. On the other hand, our True Self is not intimidated by anything and is capable of knowing anything we want to know.

The more we rely on our own light, the brighter it shines and the stronger we become. If we rely on the outside, we may get help in some cases but our own light remains dormant.

Just turn your light on and shine on what you look for. You may not believe in what you can find! (sometimes, it’s way far better than what I could imagine or expect).

Trust the unlimited resource from your True Self (Dr. David Hawkins called “your Mother”) and you will definitely have an amazing experience!
