Two ways of doing: one leads to enjoyment; the other leads to frustration.

You want a result so much, and you force yourself to do a certain thing. You will be very frustrated along the way, and the result won’t be as good as you long expected. The result will reflect the energy in you.

Result-oriented is the way of working that leads to stress and even disappointment.

How do you know if you do the work this way? You start quick, fast with a big ambition in mind. You are in a hurry. You have so many things going on in your head. You may find yourself very excited in the beginning. But the excitement will be quickly replaced by something else.

  • So which way of doing leads to enjoyment?

Your way of doing awakens your awareness. It's so-called mindful doing.

You start small and pay very close attention to each details. You watch every tiny aspect of your work. You don’t miss any moment. You are totally in the present.

Slowly, you find yourself greatly enjoy the work. Your mind is clearer and brighter over time. Your consciousness energy is awakened: you suddenly feel a subtle energy opening up. The more you work, the more energy you seem to have. You are in the zone! You are in the flow! You feel so happy just doing the work! Awareness has its own rewards.

Psychologists mentioned this kind of enjoyment is intrinsic motivation: you have the joy of working for the sake of the work.

How about the result? Well, mindful doing will bring you the most fruitful result you can have with your current skills. It’s the most productive way. It is because the vitality and energy of the present has flown through you and created the result.

I just had this big aha moment when I clearly saw these 2 ways of doing. I am very, very happy now. I want to share with you all. I know that I am on the right track… Doing to awaken your awareness and everything goes smooth.
